Welcome to the next phase of the YOHESOR Upcycling Contest!
Are you ready to turn waste into wealth, showcase your creativity, and compete for amazing prizes? Here’s everything you need to know to move forward.
Students from secondary schools within Abuja are eligible to participate.
Each school can submit a team of minimum 3 and maximum 5 students.
The contest challenges students to creatively upcycle waste materials into
useful or artistic items, promoting sustainability and innovation.
1st Prize: ₦500,000
2nd Prize: ₦350,000
3rd Prize: ₦250,000
Entries will be evaluated based on the following key criteria:
Is the upcycled product useful and practical? Does it serve a clear purpose?
How original and innovative is the idea? Is it a fresh concept or a creative twist on something familiar?
How well is the final product presented? Is it neat, well-documented, and visually appealing?
Does the project promote environmental sustainability? Are the materials reused or repurposed in an eco-friendly way?
Yes. All entries must be submitted before the 6th June 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Fill out the form completely, ensuring all team members are listed.
Scan and send the completed form to yohesorupcycling@gmail.com
Wait for a confirmation email with further instructions.
Document your project process through pictures or videos.
Prepare a brief description (max 200 words) explaining your idea, the materials used, and the impact of your project.
Submit your final project via email to yohesorupcycling@gmail.com
Shortlisted schools will be contacted and invited for the final physical exhibition and prize-giving ceremony.
