A Big Step Forward for Youth Empowerment and Anti-Corruption Education

We’re excited to share some amazing news YOHESOR (Youth Health and Social Reforms) has officially partnered with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to implement The Value Project. This collaboration is a major milestone in our shared mission to promote integrity, ethical behavior, and responsible citizenship among Nigerian youths.
After a series of productive meetings with the Public Enlightenment and Education Department of the ICPC, both parties have agreed on how we’ll work together to make this initiative a success.

What the Partnership Means

The goal of The Value Project is simple but powerful: to help young people embrace values like honesty, responsibility, and accountability starting from within and rippling outward into the community.
Both ICPC and YOHESOR have outlined clear roles in this partnership, and here’s what that looks like:

What ICPC Will Provide:

  • Access to their NYSC Anti-Corruption CDS (Community Development Service) groups who will participate in the project
  • A venue for training sessions so we have a space to learn, share, and grow
  • Technical support, including visual and sound systems to make the sessions engaging

What YOHESOR Will Handle:

  • Supplying experienced trainers, engaging modules, and useful training materials
  • Providing refreshments and transport stipends to make sure participants are comfortable and encouraged
  • Sharing educational and communication materials to reinforce learning
  • Taking care of any logistics that help make the training smooth and impactful
  • Funding the project to ensure quality and sustainability

First Steps: A 3-Day Training to Kick Things Off

We’ll be starting off with a 3-day training session for the CDS group, and the ICPC has given their full support. Even more exciting is their commitment to walk with us through the long haul they’re on board for a five-year journey of rolling out this project across different NYSC groups and communities.

Why This Matters

Nigeria’s fight against corruption isn’t just about laws and punishments it’s about changing mindsets. When young people understand and live out values like honesty and transparency, we start seeing real, lasting change.
This collaboration is more than an agreement. It’s a shared belief in the power of young Nigerians to lead the way in building a better, more ethical society. Together, we’re planting seeds that will grow into a future filled with hope, accountability, and progress.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going

We’re deeply grateful to the ICPC for trusting us and believing in this vision. And to everyone reading this whether you’re a corps member, a teacher, a parent, or just someone who cares about Nigeria we invite you to join us in this movement.

Conclusion

The Value Project isn’t just a program, it’s a call to action. And with the ICPC walking alongside YOHESOR, we’re confident that we’re on the right path. Let’s work together to shape a generation that stands for integrity, fairness, and positive change.
