By Chris Ohaerisim

Date: March 3, 2025

On Thursday, March 3, 2025, the team from Universal Television (UTV) Africa visited Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) in Anambra State to interact with beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The visit aimed to gather feedback from students who recently received refunds from NELFUND for fees they had already paid. These students, who had applied and qualified for the education loan, spoke to UTV about their experiences with the process and how they felt about the Federal Government’s initiative to ease the financial burden of higher education.

The excitement and relief were evident, as students praised the transparency and efficiency of the refund process. Many described the NELFUND initiative as a game-changer for youths seeking access to education without the weight of immediate financial strain.
